Oh My Goodness, the recent weather has really wreaked havoc with our schedule. I’m so glad we were able to meet last Thursday to put the finishing touches on our life-size posters of Amber Brown and Justin Daniels. They are now hanging in Rm. 1 and we have already gotten many compliments. Again, great job everyone! We will be finishing up Amber Brown Is Not a Crayon and soon embark on a new piece of reading. In the meantime, I have a fun writing activity planned for our next “Book Club” meeting.
See you soon–Mrs. A.

Dear Boys & Girls,
Our joint activity with the first grade students was a huge success! Although we have yet to complete the “life-size” posters of the characters, Amber and Justin, everyone worked so nicely together. It was fun discussing the book and sharing our special snack. Perhaps we can have more of these activities in the future. See you soon!

P.S. Don’t forget to respond to the questions below.

Hello Boys and Girls,

The question for Chapter 2 is: How would you feel if someone made fun of your name, like they did Amber Brown’s? What would you do about it?

Hello Boys and Girls,

It was great to meet you today, introduce our first book, Amber Brown Is Not a Crayon, and talk about my new Edublog.  After reading Chapter 1, please respond to the following question:

In the first chapter, Amber and her class take an imaginary trip to China.  If your class could travel somewhere, where would you go, and why?

Happy Reading–Mrs. A.
