This is the Last One
June 20, 2011 | Uncategorized | Leave a Comment
Sadly people, this is the last time you’ll be hearing from me through this blog. It has been a long year but unfortunately all great things must come to an end. I have to say it was a pleasure sharing with you guys my opinion on music since I really needed a venue where I could spout my recklessly with no recourse whatsoever. Certainly a unique and refreshing experience, but I digress. The point is that this will be my last and only music blog and I’m forced to let go these sentimental attachments.
To all my readers I thank you, it was fun while it lasted, that’s for sure.
Sincerly,
The your favorite music critic…

ALBUM: GOBLIN CAME OUT YESTERDAY
May 11, 2011 | Uncategorized | Leave a Comment

SO, Goblin, Tyler the Creators new album, came out yesterday and it’s awesome. I’ve been listening to it all last night into the morning and I’d post a sample but everything is too explicit, not SFW, not even a little bit. Nonetheless, I highly suggest that you go out and buy it, since it’s easily the best Hip-hop album so far this year.
I can’t really talk about the lyrics other than it’s extremely vulgar. But the beats are good and varied. There are a lot of dark bass progressions accompanied by very rhythmic piano leads. Overall, the production quality is top notch, especially for a group that still works out of a basement.
Please buy this album? Swag.

“S-s-somebody said Thurnis, why you golf, why you golf Thurnis? Thurnis, hey, hey Thurnis why you golf?”

“I said, guess what I said, guess what I said,…Because” – Thurnis Haley

Said by the mystical, and magical, Rap God, Tyler the Creator in his new promotional video released last week. Tyler’s alter-ego Thurnis likes to golf… a lot. And because of this, his upcoming album, Goblin, will be entirely about the great sport.
Really excited to hear what hot rhymes he’s gonna spit on this new LP.

NEW MUSIC: DUBSTEP REMIXES ARE GOOD
May 3, 2011 | Uncategorized | 1 Comment
I Know Places (DJSB Remix) – Lykke Li
This is my favorite song ever, by the way, I like Dubstep a lot. Dubstep is awesome because it sounds great with all the little “wubs” and synths. I can’t remember where to get this song. It connects to my blog since all artists should know how to make the perfect Dubstep song after listening to this one. This song reminds me of Lady Gaga because of Lykke Li’s sexy voice over ripping beats. DJSB needs to go to Pennsylvania and start himself a beat farm. Nonetheless, I hope you like it as much as I do.
I give it a 1/10

TRACK REVIEW: THIEVES LIKE US
April 28, 2011 | Uncategorized | Leave a Comment
Shyness (Crystalised Edit) – Thieves Like Us

TRACK REVIEW:
Thieves Like Us is an Electronic/Pop band from France. Their new age, post disco, sound has revitalized a dead genre and they have released six albums over the past five years. This 2010 track has been rehashed in this remix by Crystalised, another French duo from Chateauroux.
Although it’s well produced, the song does not bring anything new to the table. Overall, I’d give it a 4 out of 10, it has a catchy beat, but it still falls in the realm of mediocrity.

This Blog is About Music, Music is About Milk, Milk is About My Blog
March 17, 2011 | Uncategorized | 2 Comments
Hopefully, this blog will help all you understand what music you should be listening to. Like those amazing sites such as Pitchfork, Spin, and The Needle Drop, I will tell you what music is bad and what music is good because there are no other opinions other than mine.
I use the traditional # out of 10 system but backwards like since I’m such an individual. 1-3 is for albums that all the cultured people should be listening too, 4-7 are mediocre…duh. And lastly, 7-10 is reserved for pop music, because all pop bands are sellouts.
Tell me followers, what kind of music do you want me to scrutinize?
