Here is what you can do: Hi everyone! We have a lot going on in the next few weeks so I put together a schedule to keep everyone up to date. Hello StrangersPosted by Mr. Ginsburg in General Class Info, tags: M.C. Escher, TessellationI have heard some good reports so far – let’s keep it up. What’s up with this? I don’t think that was in the lesson plans…. Hannah, I heard I missed some special attire on Monday and Tuesday, here is a little something for you: I hope to see everyone soon – I might be back in for a little bit tomorrow, we’ll see. I heard that on Monday instead of doing our writing, we choose to play some online games…. Not everyone – but I was disappointed to only see about five essays to be submitted. My expectation is that EVERYONE has handed in their essay by now – if not, guess what you are doing right now? The ones that were done were Sanjna, Nate, Hannah, Jessica, and Eric. I think Helen had hers on the side – just no signed form. For everyone else (and for those when they finish their essays) I would like us to start a tessellation project. To get us started, down this sheet and print it off (the two files are the same except one is in word and one is a PDF): Computer Lab Questions – PDF version Computer Lab Questions – Word version Next use these links to help you answer the questions: Tessellations – Everything you ever wanted to know If you finish early, you can play Launch Ball or Multiplication.com Here is a link to help us practice our multiplication (thanks to Mrs. Meglin) We all survived the first week of CMTs. The kids are doing great! Let’s keep giving our best effort!! We have also been working away on our movies. 6 of our 7 scripts are done and we have even started filming Pedro Cabral. Next week should be a busy movie making week. In math we are working on two digit quotients. It is giving the kids a bit of a hiccup, so we will probably practice them for the next couple of days. Homework this week is just reading and the log. Our Pre CMT breathing ritual. Unlike Hannah’s definition: Connecticut’s Morning Torture, After the morning test we worked on our social studies projects – we have almost finished with all of our scripts. In the afternoon we had LMC, reading practice, and Spanish. We ended the day play operations war. It is a math card game that helps us practice our multiplication facts. Homework for the next two weeks: reading and the log

A Real Mystery GuestPosted by Mr. Ginsburg in General Class Info, tags: Charles LindberghToday we had a true mystery guest today. The kids were given clues and then needed to figure out that our special guest was none other than Charles Lindbergh. They then had a quick lesson in making paper airplanes and then we had a flying contest (I won’t tell you who won). In other events we had our last day of math lab, our math test, worked on social studies movies and developed our definition for magnetism. Homework – reading and the log! Have a great weekend! Thanks to Mr. Charles Lindbergh (and Mr. Dwyer)!! |
