So obviously everyone has that dream car that they one day envision themselves owning. Growing up, I have always been in love with the looks of Lamborghinis. A story that my mother and grandmother like to tell is how when I was three I took off running after a Lamborghini that was driving around a cemetery we were in. I guess that was when my love for these cars started. Although I like many of the models that Lamborghini comes out with, I particularly like the Gallardo Superleggera. This is a lightweight version of the Lamborghini Gallardo and I really like the presence of slightly sharper edges that adorn the car. So, my dream car would b a Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera in Verde Ithaca green with custom black rims and a black interior with green stitching
Having not grown up in or near a big city, I have never had the experience of driving in and around a city frequently. The most traffic I encounter daily is going to and from school and that is only if I get caught behind the never ending line of school buses. I am guessing though that many people who live in places like Boston or Los Angeles would probably want to scream at me if I were to complain about a little bit of school traffic. I wouldn’t blame them. We have all seen the pictures of the LA freeway during rush hour. Definitely not a place anyone would want to be. I have never been to Los Angeles or on the LA freeway, but I shared an experience close to this while vacationing in Hawaii. To say the least, sitting in a non-moving car for almost an hour was not a highlight of my vacation. Robin Williams’ quote definitely expressed some of my anguished thoughts. No one is rushing during rush hour. Sitting in traffic has taught me one thing. The lines in the DMV actually have a purpose. They allow you to experience the feeling of waiting in traffic before ever getting your license.
The other day I came to the conclusion that if cars didn’t have sound systems then I wouldn’t be driving. There is nothing more I hate than driving around in complete silence. Depending on my mood, I usually listen to different kinds of music every time I drive. However, I am always up to listening to certain styles of music whenever I drive. The advancement in car technology allows me to listen to whatever type of music I would like by using my mp3 player hookup instead of just using the car’s built in radio. One person I am always down to listen to is Jimi Hendrix. His melodic guitar riffs always put me in a great mood and listening to this particular song of his just pumps me up in general. Can’t you imagine waiting for the light to turn, with your windows down, and as soon as the light turns green the heavy guitar riffs vibrate through your speakers? I don’t know about you, but that’s driving to me! What music do you listen to when you drive and what do you use to play it?
The recession of 2009 saw the automaker Chrysler merging with the Italian Car company Fiat. Under the new deal, Fiat holds about 35% stake in the company with the option to increase if sales are good. Will the deal result in seeing more Chrysler cars with more of an Italian feel? Clearly the photo of a Chrysler ME Four-Twelve that was designed a couple years back suggests that Chrysler was experimenting with a design that incorporated the looks of foreign super cars. Nothing has been released in the recent years after the merger with Fiat but I think that Chrysler should seriously consider producing cars like the ME Four-Twelve because I think that this is one of the ways that they can get back on the map as a powerful car company. Even in these hard economic times I think that they would see good sales figures if they were able to produce not only foreign style super cars, but also foreign style luxury cars . After all, the love of foreign cars and especially the love of cars with a European flair by Americans is certainly well known.
