Livestrong June 15, 2009

Technology is an amazing thing. It can not only entertain us, help us with communication, and teach us but it also saves lives. Lance Armstrong created the Livesrtong company to help others with their diet, fitness and overall health. He also raises money for cancer.

In a way technology is just like Lance Armstrong. Technology changes the lives of people everyday. Exercise equipment such as treadmills keep us healthy.  Cell phones and television help us communicate by making us aware of what is going on in the world around us. Imagine life without television or radios. If there was a hurricane coming many people would not find out until it is too late. The defibrillator brings thousands of people back to life every day. These are just a few examples of how technology saves lives.

I think that the more time people spend on improving technology the more lives will be saved. I will be graduating this year and my goal is to stay up to date with all the latest technology. It is important to me because the impact it has on our life is tremendous. I cannot wait to see what new technology we have in store for us in the future. I look up to Lance and all the people who spent so much time and effort to study and create new technology.

How has technology saved your life?

USB Keylogger June 1, 2009

This next new piece of technology I want to share with you it a spy gadget. It’s called the USB keylogger. This can be used to record all the keystokes that are made on a computer’s keyboard. There is no program or installation required. All you have to do is plug it into the computer’s USB port. It looks just like a normal USB extension. It holds 128 kb of keystokes which should last about 15 days of normal keystoke use.

Although I do not really see a use for this spy gadget. I thought it was very interseting. This just goes to show you that technology can do almost anything we want it to do.
